New Art Display Coming to Harrison Library

An opening reception for Danny Henderson's "Signal From Outer Space: Turn of the Century Artworks" will be held on Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m.

The art of Westchester's Danny Henderson will be on display at the this month, starting with an opening reception Saturday afternoon.

After painting his first piece 12 years ago at the age of 35 Henderson has specialized in abstract paintings and drawings; mixed media compositions; and photographs. Henderson has taken classes in art and art history at the National Academy School of Fine Arts and Westchester Community College. He participated in WCC’s Summer Study Program 2011 studying Italian Renaissance Art with visits to Florence, Venice, Pompeii, Assisi, Padua and Tivoli. 

Henderson has also exhibited locally and in Canada and has won several awards.

The reception for Henderson's exhibit, entitled “Signal From Outer Space: Turn of the Century Artworks”, will take place from 2 - 4 p.m at the downtown Harrison Library. After that it can be viewed at the during the library's operating hours.
