Police: Man Caught With Pants Down Arrested

A 24-year-old Yorktown man faces a misdemeanor charge after police say he was spotted masturbating in his vehicle near the intersection of Halstead Avenue and Macy Road.

A nearby storeowner who was in the passenger seat of a passing vehicle reported the incident at about 9:30 a.m. on March 7. The witness told police the man was in his parked vehicle with his pants around his knees, masturbating while talking on a cell phone.

When police arrived moments later they say the man was in the vehicle with his pants still down. Although the man told police he was tucking in his shirt, he was arrested based on the accounts of the man who witnessed the alleged incident.

Police charged the man with public lewdness, a class B misdemeanor. He was released without bail and was due in Harrison court earlier this month.
