Woman Punched and Choked at Train Station, Police Say
Police say the incident took place on May 16.
A 46-year-old Queens man punched and choked a woman at the Harrison Train Station after the woman caught him taking pictures of her and confronted him about it, police say.
The woman, 22, had scratches on her neck and bruises near her ear when police responded to the incident on May 16 at about 8:40 p.m. The woman told police she caught a man later identified as Shaun Williams taking photos of her in the train station and that he punched her three times and tried to choke her when she confronted him.
The woman identified Williams at the scene, who told police that he had been drinking and that he didn't remember the incident, according to his arrest report.

A 34-year-old Stamford woman faces a misdemeanor charge after police say she wrote a check for $9,265 for medical procedures knowing she didn't have enough money in her account for the transaction.
Police believe Veronica Rodriguez wrote the check on April 27 for a procedure that was performed at 222 Westchester Avenue on May 11. After the procedure was complete it was discovered that the check bounced because of insufficient funds. On May 18 police say Rodriguez made an appointment to come back to the office but never showed up.
When Rodriguez called the office for a follow up procedure on May 20 the police were called in to question her about the check. Police say she only had a few hundred dollars in the account but that her boyfriend was supposed to add funds to it before the check went through.
Police charged Rodriguez with issuing a bad check, a class B misdemeanor. She is due in Harrison court on May 31.
