Yonkers Man Arrested After Courtroom Dispute

The following arrest information was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Angel De Pena, 19, was in Harrison court on June 14 to answer to charges stemming from a previous incident, but left town hall in handcuffs before his case was called in front of Judge Ronald Bianchi.

De Pena, of 55 Sherwood Ave., Yonkers, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a dispute with a court officer that began in the courtroom and extended to the lobby at 1 Heineman Place. At about 10 a.m. police say De Pena walked into the Harrison courtroom wearing a baseball cap and an unbuttoned shirt. The court officer approached him and told him he needed to remove his hat and buttin his shirt, police say.

According to his arrest report, De Pena yelled an obscenity at the officer, called him a "security guard" and lunged at him bumping his chest. The officer at the scene walked De Pena away from the court room into the main lobby, telling him that if he didn't calm down he would be arrested.
