Brooklyn Brewery Plans Winter 2018 Opening for Massive Brewery and Bar at Navy Yard

Brooklyn Brewery will open a 75,000-square-foot brewery and a 10,000 square-foot rooftop bar at the Navy Yard in early 2018.

BROOKLYN NAVY YARD — The Brooklyn Brewery, headquartered in north Williamsburg since the late 1990's, has announced a February 2018 opening date for its gigantic new brew center at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The company first announced the impending move in May.

A 10,000 square-foot rooftop bar will open two months later, in April. Both developments will be hosted at Building 77, a one million square-foot structure at the corner of Vanderbilt and Flushing Avenues. Building 77 is set to reopen in the winter of 2017 after finishing $185 million worth of renovations.

Diehard patrons of Brooklyn Brewery's Williamsburg headquarters have nearly a decade remaining to savor the original location. In a post on their blog, Brooklyn Brewery promised to stay in the neighborhood through 2025, when their current lease expires.

Our Williamsburg home on North 11th Street will still be a brewing center for us, and our Tasting Room will continue to host tours, events, and raucous public hours. You’ll just have to choose– Tasting Room, Building 77 brewhouse, or rooftop beer garden? (Hint: All of them.) Our Williamsburg leases are not up until 2025, but you can count on us staying here.
