Here are the top three stories in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO today:
- A man on a train in Sunset Park, Brooklyn opened fire, shooting ten people and injuring sixteen in total, five of whom where in critical condition. He remained at large throughout the day on Tuesday, leading many schools throughout Brooklyn to go into lockdown. MTA chief Janno Lieber said that the day's events reminded him of 9/11. (Patch)
- Yet another political hopeful is entering the race for State Senate in Brooklyn and Staten Island. David Yassky, a former City Councilman and former head of the Taxi and Limousine Commission, has the local support of Independent Neighborhood Dems. (Subscription: SILive.com Free: Spectrum News 1)
