  1. The admissions application for kindergarten in September 2022 isn't open yet, but there are lots of open houses and information sessions coming up in the next few weeks and months, for local zoned and un-zoned schools. (Brooklyn Bridge Parents)
  2. Mayor de Blasio announced a vaccine mandate for all private-sector workers starting on December 27th–just days before he leaves office in January. He also announced that kids 5-11 years old would be included in the indoors vaccine requirement already in place. (NYC Patch)
  3. A mid-20th century bank on Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn is set to be demolished to make way for a 43-story residential tower, that will set aside 30 percent of units as some degree of affordable. (Brownstoner)

  • Councilman Stephen Levin applauded de Blasio's decision to institute an expanded vaccine mandate. All along, the argument against vax mandates has been it's unpopular," he said.
