1. You apparently aren't alone if you think that DUMBO should become its own city. The DUMBO BiD is introducing its own currency–DUMBO dollars–redeemable at local businesses and aimed at encouraging workers to return to their offices. 2. Brooklyn Roasting Company is back. After closing its flagship location in DUMBO last year and declaring bankruptcy due to pandemic-related losses, the local coffee purveyor has announced that it will be opening up again–this time in Brooklyn Heights, in the 38-story luxury condos at One Clinton.
