2. The Brooklyn Democratic Party has filed many objections against the petitions of candidates for the borough's county committee and district leader positions. The progressive organization Rep Your Block, which encourages increased participation in Brooklyn politics, believes the objections have been falsified, and are an attempt by politicos in the party to maintain their power.
