Here are the top three stories today in Brooklyn Heights-DUMBO:
- A 15-year-old teenager was shot in the head on Wednesday outside of Atlantic Terminal Mall, authorities have announced. As of now they have not made any arrests or announced the names of suspects. The victim was taken to a hospital in Park Slope. (Brooklyn Paper)
- Mulberry & Vine restaurant is closing all five of its locations, including one in DUMBO since 2018. The casual dining spot, started by a first-time restauranteur, had been struggling due to a lack of traffic during the pandemic. (Eater NY)
- A new play, "All the Mournful Voices," is opening today at Forgotten Works in DUMBO. Opening night coincides with the 157th anniversary of President Lincoln's assassination, which the play deals heavily with. Unfolding in a bar on the night of his shooting, the play "examines inherited cultural legacies of violence and loss." (Broadway World)
