Winter Sports Are Back, Athletic Center To Host Programs

The Town of Oyster Bay's Athletic Programs will begin registration next week.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Winter sports are back— residents are invited to join co-ed basketball, badminton, and volleyball programs this January at the Athletic Center in Hicksville.

The Town of Oyster Bay's Winter Athletic Programs are co-ed, open to people over the age of 18 years old, and run for 10 weeks.

Oyster Bay Town Councilman Lou Imbroto said these programs give residents opportunities to have fun while staying active.

“The Town’s athletic programs offer a great opportunity for residents to take to the court, improve their skills, and make new friends,” Imbroto said.

The cost and schedule for each program vary. Proof of residency is required for resident discount. Registration begins Dec. 8 at 5 p.m., and more information can be found online.
