3 Huntington Bay Beaches Close Due To High Bacteria Levels

BREAKING: These beaches will reopen once the bacteria is found to be at acceptable levels.

Three beaches in Huntington Bay are closed due to high bacteria levels in the water, the Suffolk County Department of Health says.

The beaches are:

  • Huntington Beach Community Association
  • Fleets Cove Beach
  • Knollwood Beach

Benjamin Beach in Bay Shore is also closed.

These beaches will reopen once the bacteria is found to be at acceptable levels.

  • Infections of the eyes, ears, nose and throat.
