Apply For Affordable Housing Opportunity In Greenlawn

See if you qualify. A lottery will be held in September.

Applications are now being accepted for an affordable 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom single family home located at Harborfields Estates on Pulaski Road in Greenlawn.

The sales price for the unit is $221,600. Real estate taxes on the unit are estimated to be $6,000 annually and estimated HOA fees will be approximately $460 annually, billed semi-annually.

“This is a very unique opportunity for a first-time homebuyer,” Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci said in a press release.

To be eligible for the unit, the maximum income allowed is:

  • $61,350 for one person
  • $70,100 for two persons
  • $78,850 for three persons
  • $87,600 for four persons
  • $94,650 for five persons
  • $101,650 for six persons

The lottery is for first-time homebuyers, which the Town of Huntington defines as a person who has never owned a home, has not owned a home during the last three years, or is a displaced homemaker.

Applications are available online now through Friday, August 17. Apply here. There is a non-refundable application processing fee of $26.50.

The lottery will take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5 in Room 114 at Town Hall, located at 100 Main St. in Huntington.

Applicants must be able to qualify for a mortgage and priority will be given to applicants who are residents of the Town of Huntington or who are employed by a business or entity that maintains a verifiable physical location within the Town of Huntington, or non-residents who have parents, children, grandchildren or grandparents who are residents of the Town of Huntington.
