Camp Good Mourning!, a nonprofit that provides free bereavement camps to children coping with the death of a parent or sibling, is hosting its fifth annual contest. All proceeds will benefit the charity.
"Camp Good Mourning's! Team Chicken Wing Eating Challenge is so much fun to put on because it takes on a life of its own!" said Paul Rubin, founder of Camp Good Mourning!. "Each year it gets bigger and bigger! The number of wing eating teams grow, the fans who come down to root them on have a blast, and the community comes together in A BIG WAY to support grieving children. It's a win-win for everyone!"

One in 12 American children experience the death of a parent or sibling before the age of 18, Rubin said.
"That's about two children in every average-sized Long Island classroom," he said. "By signing up, Long Islanders will be directly responsible for supporting these children...Because no child should grieve alone."
Two wing-eaters make up a team and pay $35 each to enter. Each contestant needs four pledges at a $25 minimum. Various trophies will be awarded. There will also be raffles.
Wings will be provided by Zorn's, The All New Sandwich Express in Plainview, Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Miller's Ale House.
