Firefighters Battle Heavy Huntington Station House Fire
The cause of the Tuesday night fire is under investigation.
Officials are investigating a house fire that broke out in Huntington Station on Tuesday night.
According to authorities, the blaze broke out at a home on East 23rd Street at 9:20 p.m. The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to the scene to find a heavy blaze. The residents safely evacuated themselves from the home, uninjured.
Firefighters aggressively attacked the blaze, which was under control within a half hour.

Huntington Manor received assistance from the Huntington, Melville, Greenlawn and Halesite fire departments. The Huntington Community First Aid Squad provided EMS support.
Sixty firefighters using 12 trucks were at the scene. Units were under the direction of Assistant Chiefs Jon Hoffmann and Jim Glidden.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Suffolk Police Arson Squad and Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, according to PIO Steve Silverman.
