Huntington 2024-25 School Budget Passes Easily

HUNTINGTON, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Huntington School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2024-25 school budget by a margin of 1,059 yes votes to 206 no votes.
The district's budget is $152,277,619, up 4.05 percent from last year's. The tax levy is $117,043,556, up 2.93 percent.
Three Huntington Board of Education seats were open for three-year terms.

Incumbent Thomas Galvin (856 votes), incumbent Theresa Sullivan (882 votes) and challenger Annie Michaelian (812 votes) defeated challenger Sara Baliber (656 votes).
