Huntington Alive With the Sound of Music

Books, music among the activities around town.

The Huntington Arts Council wraps up its summer festival this week, with performances Tuesday through Sunday night. The festival, which started June 27, wraps up Sunday with Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys.

The South Huntington Public Library has lined up author Alyson Richman, to wrap up its summer South Huntington Reads project that featured Richman's  book, The Lost Wife. She's due in South Huntington  on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m.  Some spots remain for the author luncheon.

Huntington School Board to Meet
The Huntington Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. Monday  at  J. Taylor Finley Middle School auditorium.

Driving Sounds at the Book Revue
Pianist Stan Wiest will be talking at the Book Revue at 7 p.m. Thursday and signing copies of his new CD, Music to Drive By.
