Huntington Folk Festival Returns For 13th Year

Legendary folksinger-songwriter Tom Rush will headline this year's festival.

UPDATED with correct date: Music lovers who enjoy free entertainment, rejoice.

Members of the community can enjoy a day solely dedicated to Folk music at the thirteenth annual Huntington Folk Festival on Sunday, July 29.

The free festival kicks off at noon and will continue until about 10:30 p.m. at Heckscher Park.

Legendary folksinger-songwriter Tom Rush, accompanied by up-and-comer Matt Nakoa on piano and percussionist Marshal Rosenberg, will headline this year's festival.

Rush will hit the Rainbow Stage at 8 p.m.

Festivalgoers can bring lawn chairs, blankets and food to enjoy a picnic on festival grounds. They can also walk into Huntington Village for a meal.

Numerous artists will showcase their talent, including the following Long Island artists: Acoustic Apple, Karen Bella, Rorie Kelly, Cathy Kreger, Lois Morton, Anne O'Rourke, Nico Padden, Steve Robinson, Les Stoller, Hank Stone, Christine Sweeney, Toby Tobias, Bob Westcott.

The event is co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington and the Huntington Arts Council and is part of the 53rd Huntington Summer Arts Festival.
