People can take a boat ride out and back to the lighthouse and learn about its history.

HUNTINGTON, NY — The Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society’s 2024 Lighthouse tour schedule is now available.
People may plan a summer visit to Huntington and its 112-year old working lighthouse, the preservation society announced.
Participants can enjoy a boat ride out and back to the lighthouse and learn about the history of the Huntington lighthouse; from how it was saved from demolition by a dedicated group of volunteers to the important role it continues to play as a working navigational aid. Tours last about an hour.

Tours leave from Gold Star Battalion Beach on West Shore Road, Huntington.
Tours are approximately one hour long and are subject to sea or weather conditions. Tours start at 11 a.m. and the last tour leaves at 3 p.m. Passengers will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
