Huntington Manor FD Member Recognized For Longtime Service
Lou Agiesta has been involved with the department for 50 years.

A member of the Huntington Manor Fire Department was recently recognized for his longtime service.
Captain Lou Agiesta, a Huntington Station resident, has been involved with the department for 50 years. He joined the Huntington Manor Fire Department in January 1968 and moved up through the ranks, holding several leadership positions:
- 1st Lieutenant Hose Company No. 1 from 1979 to 1981
- 1st Captain Hose Company No. 1 from 1981 to 1983
- 3rd Assistant Chief from 1984 to 1985
- 2nd Assistant Chief from 1986 to 1987
- 1st Assistant Chief from 1988 to 1989
- Chief of Department from 1990 to 1991
He also served as:

- President of the TOHCC from 1990 to 1991
- Member of the Town Fire Advisory Board from 1990 to 1991
- Fire Police Lieutenant from 2008 to 2009
- Fire Police Captain from 2010 to 2011
- Co-chairman of the Kids Christmas party
- Advisor to the Huntington Manor Juniors
“For more than half a century, Captain Agiesta has continuously displayed remarkable bravery and a commitment to the community that is beyond compare,” Legis. Tom Donnelly said in a press release. “As a retired member of the FDNY and a current volunteer firefighter myself, I know first-hand that is a testament to both his dedication to our community and the support of his family. It was an honor to recognize and thank him for his many years of exceptional service.”
Donnelly presented Agiesta with a County Proclamation at the Huntington Manor Fire Department headquarters in Huntington Station on Monday, Jan. 15
