Huntington Police Blotter: Bicyclist Steals Phone From Man On Trail

ALSO: Money stolen from car; vehicle stolen; and four pairs of sunglasses swiped, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from April 14 through April 20.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • April 18: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Rogues Path in Huntington Station at 7:30 p.m. A man was walking on a trail at Breezy Park when a man on an electronic bike rode up, stole his phone and rode away, police said.
  • April 18: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on 14th Street in Huntington Station at 5:50 a.m. A vehicle was stolen after its key was left inside the ignition, police said. Police found and recovered the stolen vehicle, police said.
  • April 15: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station at 7 a.m. Money was stolen from a vehicle, police said. The vehicle's owner found the back driver-side door ajar and the money missing, police said.
  • April 15: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in South Huntington at 1:19 p.m. A man stole four pairs of sunglasses from Saks Fifth Avenue by hiding them in his pocket, police said.
