Huntington Police Blotter: Man Possessed Crack Cocaine
ALSO: Prospective car buyer loses $19K after online scam; $17K Rolex watch stolen; and U-Haul truck stolen; police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Sept. 23 through Sept. 29.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- Sept. 27: Darin Jenkins, 64, of Huntington, was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance: narcotic drug with intent to sell, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Incidents
- Sept. 26: Auto-stripping (second-degree) was reported on Nimitz Street in Huntington at 7 p.m. A catalytic converter was stolen off a 2013 Toyota parked in the street, police said.
- Sept. 25: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Pulaski Road in Huntington Station at 12:30 p.m. A U-Haul van was stolen off Pulaski Road, police said. The keys had been left inside, police said.
- Sept. 23: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on New York Avenue in Huntington at 5:17 p.m. A $17K Rolex was stolen from a Fed-Ex drop box after a business sent the watch for delivery, police said.
- Sept. 23: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Kivy Street in Huntington Station 2:25 p.m. A person said they were trying to buy a 1965 Ford Mustang online and viewed photos of the car, police said. The person sent $19K, police said. The seller cut off communication, and the buyer did not get the car, police said.
