Huntington Police Blotter: Man In Possession Of Cocaine Is Arrested

ALSO: Home burglarized; someone stole money from a business's cash register; and more, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from March 31 through April 6.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • April 3: Levar Butts, 47, of Huntington Station, was found to have a quantity of cocaine when police officers searched his home around 2:40 p.m. April 3, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance: narcotic drug with intent to sell and one count of first-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Incidents

  • April 5: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on New York Avenue in Huntington Station at 6:13 p.m. Someone went behind the counter of Family Dollar, grabbed the key to the cash register and stole money from the cash register, police said. Nobody was behind the counter at the time, police said.
  • April 4: Making a threat of mass harm was reported on Main Street in Huntington at 11:55 a.m. A person made a threatening phone call, police said.
  • April 2: Burglary (second-degree) was reported on Coldport Drive in Huntington at 9:10 a.m. Someone entered a home through the front door and stole property, police said.
