Here's everything you need to know about the third annual event, which will highlight local restaurants, retailers, and public-facing art.

TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, NY — The third annual PUBlic Art Crawl is coming to Huntington, the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce announced.

The crawl is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. June 3. The event will highlight local restaurants, retailers, and public-facing art throughout the village. The commerce organized it with the Arts and Experiences Committee.

The goal of the event is to drive commerce throughout the town while highlighting what Huntington has to offer.

"Cities gain value through public art – cultural, social, and economic value," the chamber wrote. "Public art is a distinguishing part of our public history and our evolving culture. It reflects and reveals our society, adds meaning to our cities, and uniqueness to our communities. Public art humanizes the built environment and invigorates public spaces."

Participants will receive a guided map and explore more than a dozen public murals, as well as receive special promotions at participating restaurants.

Events part of the art crawl will include live murals and music, a local art market, art and pub tours, art show receptions, and a Poetry Slam.

Here are instructions on how to participate:

1. Go to Wall Street, which will be shut down.
2. Grab a Map detailing all the art and stops along the way.
3. Scan the QR code on the map to learn more details.
4. Enjoy the art market and music festival!
