HUNTINGTON, NY — Christian Bowen resigned as superintendent of the Huntington School District on Wednesday after assuming the position in September, Pam Robinson of Huntington Now reported.

Bowen's resignation was accepted by the Huntington Board of Education Wednesday morning, and Dr. Alan Grovveman was named interim superintendent, effective Thursday, Huntington Now reported. The school board hired an attorney in April to investigate "issues," Huntington Now reported.

Bowen replaced Jim Polansky, who retired from his role as superintendent last summer.

Bowen did not immediately return Patch's request for comment.
