Hurricane Harvey Donation Drop Off Locations In Huntington Area

Trucks will be driving down from Long Island to Texas to carry relief supplies to assist those affected by Hurricane Harvey in one week.

The organizers are seeking non perishable items only. The deadline is Thursday, Sept. 7.

Needed items include blankets, water, canned food, dry goods, baby products, wipes and dog/cat/horse food. Please no money, organizers say.

George Schwertl on Facebook announced several drop off zones. They are:

• Halesite Fire Department, located at 1 New York Ave. in Halesite
• Northport Fire Department, located at 204 Main St. in Northport
• East Northport Fire Department, located at 1 9th Ave in East Northport
• Huntington Manor Fire Department, located at 1650 New York Ave. in Huntington Station
• Dix Hills Fire Department, located at 115 Deer Park Road in Dix Hills
• PAS Automotive Huntington Village , located at 627 New York Avenue in Huntington
• Sal's Auto Body, located at 644 Middle Country Rd # 7 in Smithtown
• Superior Ice Rink, located at 270 Indian Head Road in Kings Park
• Cavalier Auto Body, located at 149 W Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station
• Schwertl Auto Body, located at 200 Blydenburgh rd suite 11 in Islandia
