ICYMI: Summer Arts Enrichment Program Set

This year’s summer arts enrichment program will be held at Huntington High School, and is offered through a partnership between the Huntington School District and the Huntington Arts Council.

Computer Music Composing, Beginning & Intermediate Piano, Beginning & Intermediate Guitar (grades 5-9), School of Rock (grades 5-9), Intermediate Orchestra (grades 5-6), ROCKestra! (grades 7-9), Intermediate Band (grades 5-6), Jazz Band & Improvisation (grades 6-9), Beginning Band & String Lessons (grade 4), Musical Theater, Glee Club!, Pop & Show Tunes Vocal Workshop, Percussion Ensemble (grades 6-9), Ceramics, Polymer Clay, Modern Jewelry Making, Chalk it Up! Painting with Annie Sloan, Digital Photography, 3D Sculpting & Design, Art of Aviation I, Advanced Art of Aviation and Play Chess with the LI Chess Nuts!
Also on tap are Introduction to Acting, Ukulele Jam Band and Painter’s Palette.

The program runs from Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. The fee is $120 per course, for materials and a summer arts program t-shirt, plus a $50 registration free. Scholarships will be awarded through The Harlie Treanor Memorial Scholarship Fund to two eligible students.
Courses are open to all students entering grades 4-9. A teen portfolio class, for those entering grades 9-12, is taught by certified teachers, and runs from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Students from surrounding school districts are welcome, but must supply their own musical instruments.
