South Huntington Woman Named Suffolk Legislator’s 2025 Volunteer Of The Year

Anne Napolitano was recognized for her work supporting nonprofits and Suffolk County's senior community, officials say.

DEER PARK, NY — Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly named South Huntington resident Anne Napolitano as his 2025 Non-Profit Volunteer of the Year, recognizing her longstanding commitment to strengthening nonprofit organizations and supporting Suffolk County’s senior population, officials said.

Napolitano and other honorees were recognized during a ceremony on Nov. 20 at the William H. Rogers Legislature Building in Hauppauge, where Donnelly presented her with a Suffolk County proclamation.Donnelly represents the 17th Legislative District, which includes parts of Baywood, Deer Park, Dix Hills, Huntington, Melville, North Babylon, North Bay Shore, and South Huntington.

“Anne Napolitano’s dedication to serving others and supporting RSVP and other organizations that make a difference in people’s lives is exemplary and inspiring,” Donnelly said. “Through her expertise and heart for service, she strengthens our community, and it is a privilege to honor her as my 2025 Non-Profit Volunteer of the Year.”

Napolitano was nominated for the honor by RSVP Suffolk Executive Director Maryflorence Brennan, according to Donnelly’s office. The recognition is part of Resolution No. 602-2024, which designates November as Nonprofit Volunteer Appreciation Month in Suffolk County and authorizes each legislator to select a nonprofit volunteer to honor.

Napolitano is the founder and CEO of Anne Napolitano Consulting, where she leads a team that helps businesses and nonprofit organizations gain financial clarity and build sustainable, long-term success. Beyond her professional work, Donnelly said Napolitano has consistently volunteered her time and expertise to support her church, local schools, and the Friends of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Suffolk (RSVP).

Napolitano became involved with RSVP after learning about the organization’s mission to provide volunteer opportunities and essential services for residents ages 55 and older. Recognizing the operational challenges faced by nonprofits serving seniors, she began offering strategic guidance and later accepted a role on RSVP’s advisory board to help expand the organization’s reach and impact.
