HUNTINGTON, NY — Kick'N Chicken recently opened in Huntington, bringing a revamped menu of Nashville-styled poultry.

The chicken joint, at 339 New York Avenue, offers hot tenders, chicken nuggets, sandwiches, wraps, wings, fries, chicken and waffles, macaroni and cheese bites, and more.

Customer service and a good vibe for eating are what makes Kick'N Chicken stand out among other chicken restaurants, said co-owner and operator Kayli Ruark.

"You can come in here and feel like you’re in Nashville," Ruark told Patch. "With the music and lighting we provide and really being able to renovate the inside of that store, it’s a different environment that we’re offering. It’s not just good food. You can taste the vibe."

Huntington was a good fit for its proximity to The Paramount, a local theater that hosts late-night shows.

"It’s the perfect spot to be coming out of a show and get that kind of food," Ruark said. "There’s a lot of foot traffic in the area."

The location had a lot of equipment from a previous restaurant that could not last, so Kick'N Chicken was able to quickly renovate and prepare to open.

"We like to stand apart with our customer service and with a different vibe that doesn’t offered much," Ruark said. "We like to feel like 'Cheers,' and I say that reference and I date myself. I age myself, because people are like, 'What’s 'Cheers?'’ We really like to feel like we know everybody’s name. You can come in and feel like family and make yourself at home. We want you to come in. I always say, 'We’re just hanging out and giving people food.'"

Kick'N Chicken opened in Huntington soon before its Smithtown location closed.

Its original store in Farmingdale temporarily closed as renovations are done. The team is also building The Coop, a Nashville-style bar and lounge, next to the Farmingdale location.
