NEWARK, NJ — Huntington's Matt Frevola had the Newark crowd in a frenzy on Saturday night when he scored a technical knockout win over Drew Dober at UFC 288.

Frevola picked up one of the biggest wins of his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career when he defeated Dober, who entered the night as the No. 14-ranked lightweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. "The Steamrolla" is expected to enter the top-15 when the rankings are updated.

After a back-and-forth four minutes, Frevola landed a crushing right hook to Dober's chin. He pounced on his grounded opponent and landed ground and pound strikes, forcing referee Herb Dean to step in and save Dober from additional damage.

The win marked Frevola's third straight — his longest win streak in the UFC — as he entered the fight as a sizable betting underdog. Frevola's other two wins during his current stretch came over formerly undefeated fighters Ottman Azaitar and Genaro Valdez.

After his big win, Frevola took to the microphone with Joe Rogan to issue a challenge to Paddy Pimblett, a fighter from Liverpool who's compiled a 20-3 record. Pimblett is seen as one of the most popular fighters in the UFC currently, and Frevola hopes to send a rising star crashing back down to Earth.

"On my best day, I can beat anybody in the world. I truly believe that," Frevola told Rogan in the Octagon. "Listen up: Paddy Pimblett, you absolutely suck. Stop a being a little b--- and let's fight. You're on a four-fight win streak, I'm on a three-fight win streak. You're in the UFC. You can't pick and choose your fights. You've gotta fight who the fans want to see you fight. Let's go!"

Frevola then put a call out to the New Jersey crowd, which responded with cheers and applause.

"Who wants to see Paddy Pimblett and the 'Steamrolla?' Let's go! Who wants it? Let's go, brotha! The time is now!"

Frevola is 11-3-1 as a professional mixed martial artist. His pro career began in November 2014. He is 5-3-1 in the UFC, having also beaten Jalin "The Tarantula" Turner and Luis "Violent Bob Ross" Pena.
