Man Stabbed To Death At LI Party: Police

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Two men were stabbed, one fatally, at a Huntington Station party early Sunday, police said.

According to Suffolk County Police, the incident took place at about 2 a.m.; Second Precinct officers responded to a home at 58 ½ Lowndes Avenue after a 911 caller reported a stabbing at the location.

When officers arrived, they located two men stabbed, police said.

Justino Alfaro-Avila, 29, of Huntington Station, was transported to Huntington Hospital, where

he was pronounced dead; a 39-year-old man was treated at a local hospital and released, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the homicide squad at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
