HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives are seeking the public's help to identify and find a man wanted for questioning in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened in Huntington Station in May, police said.

Amilar Velasquez, 37, of Huntington Station, was walking northbound on the shoulder of West Hills Road around 12:15 a.m. May 5 when he was struck by a dark-colored vehicle that drove away, police said. Velasquez was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital.

Detectives want to speak to the man pictured who was seen at a nearby establishment before the crash, police said.

Earlier this month, police said the crash happened in Dix Hills, but later confirmed Huntington Station as the correct location.
