Passenger Seriously Injured In 1-Car Huntington Crash

A man was driving when he left the roadway, causing his passenger to suffer serious injuries in a crash, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — A woman was seriously injured in a one-car crash in Huntington on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.

A 44-year-old St. James man was driving a 2019 Lincoln Navigator westbound on Main Street, when he left the roadway near Prime Avenue and then struck a fence and a concrete stanchion, at approximately 10:40 p.m., police said.

A passenger in the Lincoln, a 44-year-old St. James woman, was brought to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

The man went to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.

The Lincoln was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this crash was asked to
