South Huntington 2025-26 School Budget Preview
See what's on the ballot, including the school budget and school board candidates, before you head to the polls on Tuesday.

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington Station and South Huntington residents are set to head to the polls on Tuesday, May 20.
The vote is scheduled at Walt Whitman High School from 2 to 9 p.m. The school is at 301 West Hills Road, Huntington Station.
The proposed budget for the 2025-26 school year is $222,568,493, up 2.32 percent from the current $217,524,666. The proposed tax levy is $129,415,032, or a 2.2 percent increase from last year's $126,629,190.

Three candidates are running for two South Huntington Board of Education seats.

Voters will also decide on Proposition 2, which would establish a Capital Reserve Fund, pursuant to Education Law section 3651.
