The Townwide Fund's annual St. Patrick's run will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, with the added feature of a firefighters' challenge.
And the Hartigan High School Challenge will return, with students getting in some early seaonsal training.
The first firefighters challenge, organized by the involves first-responders from local rescue and fire departments, with special awards designated for those competitors, who will run in teams of five.

The fun run starts at 8:30 a.m.; the four-mile race at 9 a.m., and extends from Mill Dam Road to West Shore Road, up Browns Road, then loops and returns to the American Legion building.
