Two people were rescued from a boat that got stuck in Huntington Harbor on Sunday evening, police say.
According to authorities, the 38-foot boat became lodged in the rocks near the Huntington Lighthouse at about 8 p.m. Suffolk County Marine Bureau officers responded to the scene and attempted to free the vessel. A Sea Tow then arrived and helped roll the boat to its side, allowing responders to pull it away from the rocks.
The boat's owner, a 71-year-old Huntington man, and a woman were unharmed in the incident and the boat did not sustain any damages. The pair remained on the sailboat while they were escorted by Sea Tow to shore.
