Summer Sewing and Knitting Class for Teens to Start in July

Looking for your child to learn a productive skill this summer?

As much as kids love time off during the summer, any parent knows that excessive downtime can make kids restless. If you're looking for a productive and educational activity to sign your kid up for this July in Huntington, you might consider a Teen Summer Sewing class from EmmaLoops.

It's a four-week course every Wednesday for four weeks in July from 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The dates are July 6, July 13, July 20, and July 27.

The class is for those aged 11 and up. Those enrolled in the class will start out making and infinity scarf, and then move on to more complicated garments. They can bring their own sewing machine if they want, or use one from the studio.

The cost is $175 for the four-week course, which covers the class and materials for the infinity scarf. There's also another option for Mommy and Me classes catering to younger children.

And knitting is not just a productive and educational way to spend your summer evenings. Some even argue that knitting may even have significant health benefits.
