Huntington, NY-- This week's Teacher Shoutout comes from the South Huntington School District. Marleny Paulsen's son attends Countrywood Primary Center where his second grade inclusion class teacher Heather Power and class aides have gone above and beyond her expectations.
The communication, dedication, encouragements, etc., makes the school expierance for both parent and child...meaningful. They communicate with families amd encourage engagement within the classroom community. I have never really felt reassured my son would fully get what he learns {he has ADHD, OCD, ODD, and sensory issues...amongst other things}. The way that they teach the children...you see compassion and yet the relationship as student to teacher {but, with love}. I can go on and on, but these 6 teachers deserve to be recognized.
