Islip FD Rescues Trapped Driver In Overturned Vehicle, 4-Car Crash
The driver was trapped after their car overturned in the crash, officials said.

ISLIP, NY — One person is injured, after a four-car crash left a vehicle overturned and a driver trapped on Monday in Islip, officials said.
At about 9:38 a.m, the Islip Fire Department and Suffolk County police were notified of four vehicles involved in a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Commack Rd and Moffitt Blvd.
When crews arrived, they discovered that one vehicle had overturned and its driver was trapped, a social media post said.

The firefighters removed the windshield of the vehicle and safely extract the victim.
The person was taken by Islip FD Ambulance South Shore University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the post said.
