Islip Resident Assaulted After 2 Men Knock On Home's Door
The victim was taken to the hospital. Police are also investigating a home burglary on the same day in Islip.

ISLIP, NY — An Islip resident was taken to the hospital after being assaulted at his home Tuesday night, police said.
Suffolk County police responded to an incident in which two men knocked on a door and attacked a resident on Spruce Street at about 10:30 p.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Earlier Tuesday, someone broke into a home on Colorado Avenue in Islip. The burglar broke in through a rear door and stole an iPhone and cash Tuesday morning.
