“Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and we are fortunate here in the Town of Islip to offer a wide array of shopping and dining options to residents and visitors,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “Now more than ever, local businesses need our support. On behalf of the members of the Town Board, I am encouraging everyone to shop their local merchants during the holiday season, and throughout the year, as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic,” added the Supervisor.

“It is a testament that merchants such as Rudy Saviano and Lisa Vincenzi of Matted Memories choose to establish their businesses right here in the Town of Islip. For this reason, I encourage Islip residents to shop small and shop local when possible, but especially on November 27th to support Small Business Saturday. I wish Matted Memories much success,” said Islip Town Councilman James O’Connor.
