New 'Nautical' Restaurant To Open In Islip's Downton

ISLIP, NY — A new restaurant will soon grace Islip's downtown area.

Bayberry, a new American bistro located at 501 Main Street, will officially open and host a ribbon cutting on Thursday, June 22 at 11 a.m.

A part of Lessing's Hospitality Group, Bayberry's menu is focused on Islip's maritime history with an emphasis on local catch, coupled with a dedicated raw bar.

Signature dishes include Local Fluke “En Croute,” the Lobster Roll, and the Bayberry Chicken.

Formerly known as Maxwell's, the 5,000 square foot restaurant is a "brand-new concept" that will feature a 40-seat bar, an outdoor patio, and private event space for more than 160 people.

Bayberry will be open seven days a week and feature a festive weekend brunch, private events for up to 160 guests, as well as happy hour from Monday to Thursday.
