ISLIP, NY — A new Reiki and crystal shop is coming to Islip.

Pachi's & Co, located at. 549 Main St, will hold its grand opening on Friday and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Reiki, a healing practice codified in the early 20th century in Japan, is a holistic energy therapy, believed to help diminish the negative side effects of chemotherapy, improve surgical outcomes, regulate the autonomic nervous system, and dramatically alter people’s experience of physical and emotional pain associated with illness, according to the Atlantic.

The store will feature sound healing, cold pressed juices, holistic aesthetics, healing workshops, and holistic nutrition.

Pachi Larrea, its in-house, esthetician told Patch that she will offer "medical aesthetics" such as facials, masks, peels, derma-planning, lash lifts.

Pachi's & Co,will also highlight one local artist every month by giving them the space to display and sell art.

"We are so grateful to become a part of this beautiful community and hope to be a positive contribution to this amazing village," said Larrea and co-owners Maria Belen Slowey and María Jose Larrea. "Building community is very important for us."

For the two-day event only, Pachi's & Co will offer an 11 percent discount on all products and services. Small bites and refreshments will be served.
