PA Man Arrested On Southern State For Felony Gun Possession: Cops

ISLIP, NY —According to the New York State Police, a man from Pennsylvania was arrested Sunday in Islip. Jude Charles, 34, from Darby, PA, was stopped for speeding and was found to have a suspended license and a loaded handgun without a New York permit.

Charles was pulled over around 2 p.m. near exist 43 on the Southern State Parkway.

He has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, a C-Felony and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, an A-Misdemeanor. He will be arraigned at Suffolk County First District Court on July 26.
