Police ID Woman Killed In Southern State Parkway Crash

ISLIP, NY — Police have identified the woman who died in a crash on the Southern State Parkway Monday as Stephanie T. Malone, 28, of Ronkonkoma.

Malone, who was operating a 2013 Nissan Altima, was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The crash took place on the eastbound Southern State Parkway near exit 40S in Islip, authorities said. After the crash, which took place at 2:47 p.m., all lanes of the Southern State Parkway eastbound at Exit 39 and the Southern State Parkway westbound left lane were closed during the ongoing investigation, police said.

The investigation is ongoing; New York State Police are asking for any witnesses or anyone with information to call 631- 756-3300.
