A chance of precipitation remains 30 percent into Tuesday night, with a southwest wind of 5 mph.

A hazardous weather outlook was issued by the service on Monday, due to the storms.

"Should they develop, there is the potential for a few of the storms to become strong to severe, with strong winds the main threat," the service said.

A high rip current risk also remains into effect until Monday evening.

The rest of the week is expected to be sunny and warm on Long Island, with Thursday reaching a high of 85.

Governor Hochul's three-day air quality health advisories ended on Saturday, as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to cause the Air Quality Index (AQI) to reach unhealthy levels.

As of Monday morning, the average AQI on Long Island is 39 and considered "Good", according to Air Now.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. North wind around 6 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.
