LONG ISLAND, NY — Long Island weather will continue its sunny streak into the weekend, but end on a rainy note.

Friday will be partly sunny with a high of 83. A light chance of showers will take place Friday night into Saturday, with a high of 84.

Long Islanders can expect more rain on Sunday, with a chance of thunderstorms after 2 p.m. and a chance of precipitation at 60 percent.

Sunday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
