According to the investigation, in May 2021, Trimigliozzi met Jane Doe #1 on a dating website and went on a date in the Patchogue area on May 14, the DA said. After the date, Trimigliozzi asked her to sit in his car to talk and shea greed since he was a police officer which led her to believe she was afe, the DA said.

In the car, Trimigliozzi moved into the passenger seat of the vehicle, where Jane Doe #1 was seated and allegedly forcibly subjected her to sexual contact to which she did not consent, the DA said. The woman said that during the sexual assault, she opened the passenger side car door and Trimigliozzi closed it, preventing her escape, the DA said.

In June 2022, Trimigliozzi met Jane Doe #2 on a dating website and went on a date in the Hampton Bays area on June 10, the DA said. Trimigliozzi picked the woman up at her home on his motorcycle and since the woman knew he was a police officer, she felt he could be trusted with her address, the DA said.

After the date, Jane Doe #2 was worried that Trimigliozzi had drank too much alcohol and invited him in to her house to "sober up" by having some water and using the restroom before he headed home, the DA said.

Trimigliozzi allegedly agreed and asked Jane Doe #2 for a tour of her apartment, the DA said. Once the two arrived at her bedroom, Trimigliozzi allegedly pushed her onto the bed and had non-consensual intercourse with her, the DA said.

On May 21, 2025, Trimigliozzi was arraigned before Supreme Court Justice Timothy P. Mazzei on the charges of first-degree sexual abuse, a Class D felony, third-degree rape, a Class E felony, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment, a Class A misdemeanor, the DA said.

Mazzei ordered Trimigliozzi held on $50,000 cash, $100,000 bond, or $1 million partially secured bond during the pendency of the case, the DA said. Trimigliozzi is due back in court on May 22 and faces seven years in prison if convicted on the top count, the DA said.

He is being represented by William Keahon who was not immediately available for comment.

In October 2024, Trimigliozzi was indicted on several charges including enterprise corruption, promoting prostitution, falsifying business records, filing a false instrument and official misconduct for his alleged involvement in running brothels and managing sex workers, the DA said.

He is currently suspended without pay and that case is currently pending, the DA said.
