Bikes Stolen, Window Pane Smashed at Beach Entrance

Nassau County Police reported the following information.

Petit Larceny

• July 10: Nassau Boulevard, West Hempstead; bike stolen from front yard.
• July 13: Tanager Lane, Levittown; 200-foot extension cord stolen.
• July 14: Rozzie’s Preschool & Daycare, Roosevelt; mountain bike stolen after it was secured to a fence.

Criminal Mischief

• July 9: Florence Avenue Beach, Massapequa; front window pane of entrance booth smashed.
• July 11: Massapequa PAL Ball Field; PAL park’s newly painted basketball court was scuffed by skateboarders.
• July 11: Steele Elementary School, Baldwin; recently planted tree uprooted.
• July 11: Allstate, Franklin Square; storm door glass broken with beer bottle.
• July 12: Grand Avenue and Lorenz Avenue, Baldwin; three charged with pulling and uprooting evergreen bushes from Town of Hempstead planters and causing damage.
• July 13: S. Franklin Avenue, Valley Stream; vending machine pried open, cash stolen.
