
County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Police Commissioner Thomas V. Dale announced that the Nassau County Police Department will be participating in the “30th Annual National Night Out” in Levittown Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. at the Target Shopping Center.
“DI Johnsen and POP Officer Lamonaca will discuss Department Programs also availing the community with various brochures for their awareness in preventing crime,” Nassau Police said in a release.
National Night Out is a unique crime/drug prevention event that is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
